I believe some of the problems with the "crappy sounding" has to do with Sly himself - erasing the tapes over and over (in connection with "birds-pulling")??

Oterhwise good news as I've only recently gotten into him/them

Memory Almost Full - Sir Paul. It gets better every time I hear it. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think it ranks at least near his best, if not among them. Nice bass work again!
