How are your feelings for this album?

Personally I rate it very high in my book, because it shows them from a more laid-back side, which I like. I also think it's a very "compressed" album with a red thread going through the whole album, which I think some of their later albums lacks...

As a bonus, the b-sides from this albums were more than hot! The live versions of "Tumbling Dice", "Live With Me", Black Limousine", "All Down The Line" & "Gimme Shelter" are all killers!

I play it rather frequently. Wish they'd do more like that.

I love it.
It's one of the albums I really play very often.
Together with Stripped Companion.
It's reall excellent, I love every single song on it!

Yeah, in my opinion there should have been a second disc with the club recordings. Tumbling Dice and those are really killer versions! It´s a shame the Stones never put out their best live output in a proper way.

I could vomit if I just think of the Rocks Off butchering on Live Licks. It´s so sad that I always have to compile CDs myself when I wanna show friends how great the Stones can sound live.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I don't know why they took down Gimme Shelter, All Down The Line, Live With Me and Black Limousine, they rock!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, those 2 CDsingle releases were fantastic,
it doesn't bother me that I have to switch discs to hear those ones.

Love it How about a Stripped 2. Club unplugged. Parachute woman, Stray Cat (slow Version), Herats For Sale, Sweet Black Angel, Torn N Frayed, Far Away Eyes, Slave, Out Of Time, Jigsaw Puzzle, Love Is Strong,2000 Man The LIst can go on & On Down In The Hole, Little Red rooster, Laugh Nearly Died
Some stuff not really sutable for stadium

Stripped is a fantastic album, really quite amazing. The stripped companion is also really good. EVERYONE should own this!

How about Mick and Keith closing off every show in Europe with just the two of them in an accoustic setting?

I love Keith showing off some real good fingerpicking like on the Voodoo brew disks. Maybe they could fill an album with those "post encores". Songs like Prodigal Son, Love in vain (Mick on harmonica), As tears go by, You gotta move or Anyway you look at it could be given such a treatment.


Plus, they would have an answer to Pete and Roger who will be touring Europe in the same months and are ending their shows this way.

By far my favorite live album of theirs!!

Stripped is quite boring. No mystique there anymore, and little power. Some swing remaining though. The tracks left out are slightly better, strange as that is.

Stripped Companion is a hybrid mix of released b-sides for Stripped AND Voodoo Lounge, songs included in the TV special (so there's alt. versions of some songs and others not on the album ie Rip THis Joint) but only 5 songs that aren't otherwise available.

Needless to say, Stripped Companion is not an official release.
