LOL, that's a sentence which, unfortunately, is very rarely seen at discussionboards

Surely it is. The peak. But goddamn close is LA Forum 75. I am listening it at the moment, having beer and asking to myself, how on earth a rock and roll band can sound so hot. Brussells ais a bit more technical - thanks to the vibrato man - but LA is a bit dirtier. Keith is awasome, goddamn tough rhythm work - "Street Fighting Man", "Midnight Rambler" (unbelievable version - only second to Brussells one) - and those boys really weave. Incredible band!

Very good bootlegs from the hot period are Perth and Sydney ones, the Australian '73 tour stuff as some people here noticed.

what do you mean? Just that the '73 Winter tour was better than the '72 North American Tour? Billy Preston didn't play on that tour which you probably know, but the text above is not really clear.

I think the Australian tour 73 is my favourite even over Brussels.

It's a very sloppy show, there's many bum-notes, Let's Spend The Night Together is the prime example. Jagger and Richards were really in a different atmosphere that night, you can see it in the video too,
but I think it's a great listen, sloppy Stones can be really good,
and the setlist is so much more exciting than the 76 European Tour, the songs they didn't do in April-June were the best ones at Knebworth...Route 66, Little Red Rooster, Dead Flowers etc.

I was suprised when Looking up the 76 europe shows. They got a a lot shorter compared to 75. A lot of those were only 19 songs!

Yea, but the most famous 75 bootlegs, from NY and LA had a longer setlist than a lot of the later 75 shows,
as they didn't play Sympathy elsewhere than NY/LA, and they often skipped Angie and Heartbreaker in July/August 75.

For some reason, lots of things written about the band either neglect the '73 Winter tour or they describe it as not being as good as the '72 tour or the '73 European Tour. It seems to be a fan favorite on this board though.
