It was indeed but IMO hardly the same scale as a 'comeback' after 7 years of not touring and an (at the time) career long gap of 3 and a half years since their last record (Dirty Work) which sold nowhere near as many as ER and which more fans I would bet would consider one of their weakest efforts

I agree with you. You initially questioned how TY could be considered a comeback and that was ny response. Let's not get into discussing which was a bigger piece of crap ER or DW. I think ER was an all tiome low now matter how many copies it sold. But the biggest comeback symbolically is SW and SG in that it was a great record.
