If the shows you are referring to were in 1981, those shows were filmed and recorded---have the boots---they SHOULD have released those band was ripping hot.
The live videos for Unchained, Hear About It Later and So This Is Love were from there.

They start the intro to a song, then stop and say"Wer'e not gonna play that one tonight"

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

Thanks Slide. DGA35 already pointed that out to me.Man ya guys are good. You are all over it. The funny thing I was only 18 at the time, but I still remember DLR saying that at the time because we were such huge, Halen fans at the time. They kinda lost a little crediblity with me and my buddies at the time.

Glassslide: PLEASE post the boots (video or audio) on Hot Stuff. I've seen the three vids in the past but never had a chance to tape them. Unchained is a great vid, the opening song. I like Alex lighting his gong on fire at the end of the song.
81 was the first time I saw the Mighty VH in concert.

DGA35 thanks for the info about the springsteen video....but i already knew the courtney cox stuff. didn't know about the vancouver show.

the incident i referred to was at alpine valley '84 and it involved two chicago radio personalities that weren't expressing themselves enthusiastically enough for bruce so he had "his people" move them. (according to the radio personalities)
bruce must be sensitive...needs idol worship.

re: the video (sorry for the tangent) i've heard that there's a bootleg video of bruce practicing his dancing in front of a mirror in the dressing room (for the dancing in the dark video), i'll check YouTube.

3 more irritating things:
1) when Sheryl crown didn't wanna play "ALL I WANNA DO" as it sounded on the cd.
2) when artists like Peter Gabriel take themselves WAY too seriously.
3) when BLUES TRAVELER plays 25 minute instrumentals and not their hit.

IORR............but I like it!

I don't have (or have ever seen) any video apart from the 3 songs, which were officially released.

I will take a look for the disc, it was an audience, not the soundboard---If I recall correctly Romeo Delight was the opener.

The show was at St Paul on the opening night of the BITUSA tour. They played Dancing in the Dark twice during the show (presumably to maximise the amount of 'long shots' needed for the video). I think they shot the close-up lip synch shots the day before, using a couple of hundred fans as 'extras'
