Wolfmother! Great new Aussie band that crank out a heavy sound for a three piece.

James Gang

Cream

Robin Trower

Band of Gypsys (Hendrix)

Police

this is weird, but The Who minus Roger. I love the who, but also it is awesome when Townshend, Entwhistle and Moon play songs with Pete on vocals...

Hey whitem. I've heard some of wolfmother's stuff. They get played every once in a while on a local rock station. They are pretty good. A lot of people seem to think they are going to be really big. I like their sound.

Yeah, they are great. They are a mix between Zeppelin, Sabbath, Yes, and Deep Purple...some heavy stuff. I saw them in Perth last year and had never heard of them, picked up the self titled debut and love it. Just good loud crunching stuff.

Green Day.

Don't really think they're the best but they've had their moments.

Or how about the Dixie Chicks. They won all those grammies. They gots to be good!

Rush!!??!! I would rather stick red-hot knitting needles into my eardrums than listen to that filth! Nothing even remotely RnR about them. May they never record another irritating note.

For straightaway rock n' roll, the original George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers!

Big Ditto there...

There are a bunch of "3 Musician and a Singer" bands that rock the rafters, I consider them "3 instrumental piece" bands...:

The RHCP
Led Zeppelin
The Who
The Doors

FWIW, Mountain was a quartet.
