'talk is cheap' needs an update

man, what a great album keith's first one is, but compare its sound quality to, say, ABB, and it sounds tinny and flat. it definitely deserves to be remastered (as does 'main offender', come to think of it).

thoughts?

Love Main Offender - leave it untouched. It would be like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa.

I noticed that on the CDs. but the Vinyls of both, AND the vinyl of the Live Keith Lp are GREAT!

THe sound is very flat on both CD and KZ. I didn't know that the vinyl was better...I should have guessed.

Well said Drew, I only ever owned "talk is Cheap" on cassette and it sounded great. I never brought it on CD, due to reservations about the quality of the digital transfer. And DAMN i miss listening to some of those tracks......

So, come on Virgin, remaster the bounder!!!

I love both "Talk Is Cheap" and "Main Offender". Indeed, it's high time for a new Winos album, purely great music!!

Agree about TIC. It sounds flat, w/o much Bass. But in a way that is Keith's sound. He loves those midranges. But Main Offencder is fine.

I'd like to hear a Keith "solo" album ala the Johnny Cash/Rubin years. Love those Keith outtakes from voodoo lounge where he;s on piano or acoustic guitar doing covers + origs. Much prefer that versiojn of Nearness of You to the Live Licks version.

But I would be up for a remastered Talk is Cheap.

GOD this would kick ass.

if it ever does happen, I would say they will rerelease the other 2 studio albums... probably remastered

I do not own main offender, and damn if I cannot find it in any record store.
