I am just incredibly lucky i guess... Indeed the website was a joke, but I got through on the phone - twice - and managed to get tickets that way. It took me nearly two hours though. But, christ, it will be worth it to see him again in a smallish venue. I can't wait!!

I certainly won't mate! And Brixton is not the sort of place to be left stranded with nothing to do... Kind of annoyed that the date at the Hammersmith Apollo, which is just up the road from me, was only put on sale a couple of days later.

Yeah that will be great!

Front row tickets to the Newsboys with Kutless and Newworldson. The Newsboys are my wife's favorite band, and by scoring front row seats for her, I'm now cleared to continue my obsession in the spring!!! LOL

Thanks Lukester, I had a laugh at that.

Here's another Hairball dining tip for downtown LA:

The Pantry, an LA landmark, about 2 blocks up from Nokia/Staples on Figueroa.
This place defines the term "greasy spoon", has been around forever, and is open 24 hours/day.
Great cheap grub before or after concert, but expect a long line trying to get in.

Then there's a great bar/lounge called Point Moorea at the bottom floor of the Wilshire Grand Hotel,
about 3-4 blocks away in the same direction...I think 6th street and Figueroa. Great beers, etc.,
and excellent happy hour appetizers at insanely cheap prices.

Oakland Arena, opening night of the "No Security" tour, 1999. One of my favorite nights as a Stones fan...

Yep Rev. my favorite night ever as a Stones fan. The first and only time I've ever been in the front row for a major concert.

Old comment I know, but only just noticed it!

Motorcycle Emptness is just one of a number of genuine classics the Manics have released. They are one of my favourite bands. The show I saw at Hammersmith a coupe of years ago is up there with the best I've seen by any band.

A criminaly underrated band.

Long live Richie Edwards!

Thought I was never going to post on this thread.
The last ticket purchase I made was for the Stones in Boise, Idaho, November '06.
I am now the proud owner of tickets for Alice Cooper, Birmingham, Alabama, 20 October, fourth row, center stage!

No tickets for anything but a few tentative plans. No big concerts, there are some I want to go to but the enjoyment level just isn't high enough to be worth the cost and hassle right now

The Head Cat (Lemmy/Slim Jim Phantom)
Imperial Teen
Bryan Adams/George Thorogood (think I can get in for free)
U.S.S.A. (Paul Barker of Ministry and Duane Denison of the Jesus Lizard/Tomahawk)
Wildhearts
Dickies
