Maybe Chav Watch should take his childish humour to the pawn shop, before he gets banned ?

Mick Taylor IS a big brother, so why should he go in a contest for it too?

Just wanted to gauge the feeling about rock stars participating in reality tv. It's bound to happen one (maybe not MT but someone).

It's allready happened.

But not with anyone that played with a top band. There was a rumour that Ringo Starr was going to do I'm A Celebrity but it was clearly just a rumour.

I don't think you're making these Mick Taylor threads, because you think he's such a great musician. Why can't you just be honest about it...you think it's funny that he has gained weight, and you don't understand people who dig Taylor's playing. All in all, you better put these stupid threads to rest, 'cos you're getting on some peoples nerves. It's not even funny.

Preston from the Ordinary Boys (crap NME band) and Donny whathisface from the shite Towers Of London have both been on. Very few Big Brother viewers would know who Taylor was and even if many of the contestants are Z-list types, I don't even think Taylor fits in that category. He hasn't been a celebrity since he left the Stones. In the sense that he hasn't exactly been in the public eye that is.

Well, that's what you think. I do rate MT very highly - for the record. A number of other contributors to this form contribute bizarre MT threads. I just try to make mine a bit more bizare to illustrate their utter ludicrusness. Hope that clarifies things.

Another extremely useless post. Some people should spend their time picking their belly button or something....instead of polluting a fine board like this.
One minute you admire the man and his work [www.iorr.org], and show some (false?) concern about his health, the next minute,this...

Mick Taylor is and was a fine musician. No matter how much he weighs. Who´s next to get picked on? Black musicians?

What has weight got to do with reality tv? Sort of going a bit off point aren't you?

No matter what, you´re still trying to degrade the man, by suggesting such a thing as participating in a low-life realityshow. Shows what you think of him. Picking on Taylor seems to be the flavor of the week among some. Period.

Not my aim. But there you go - pointless trying to say otherwise. Time to draw a line under this!!

I think some are a little over sensitive regarding Mick Taylor. If you were a relative or a close freind I could understand. Chav Watch was only having a giggle after all.

That would make sense if you were fine with somebody else always deciding what's of interest to you.

Actually being one of the biggest Taylor fans on this site, I think the idea
of Mick T. getting on one of these reality shows might do him some good,

The Stones don't seem to be too interested in letting him near their stage,
Mick could use the exposer, at least over here in the States, maybe he could
find alot of "new" fans, especially if they let him "play" on the show!!

But knowing Taylor like I do, I don't think he would be too interested in this
kind of idea, you know they would "hammer" him about quitting the Stones, but
who knows???

Plenty of celebs with less reason to be celebs resurrect themselves in the public eye through such shows. Face it - apart from die hard fans like ourselves Mick Taylor is virtually unknown these days. Some sort of public recognition for his part in the Rolling Stones story and his undoubted talent would be a worthwhile by product. I know it will never happen but an interesting "what if".

So, ChavWatch makes a post that everyone takes the same way and then belittles those who think that? It's so obvious posts like this belittle Taylor I am surprised BV doesn't pull the plug.

Yea, small children acts like this too, when they are caught doing something bad.

Mick Taylor played guitar on the Stones 3 greatest studio albums. He cannot be belittled. I admire him greatly to the extent that I have twice paid to see him. I wish that his talent was more widely recognised.

But I do find some peoples obsession with him (including the weight stuff) mildly amusing.

Anyway time to move on.

Sorry Erik.

Hey,

I have to agree with Chav's statement above!

Wonder if Taylor would even consider such a option??

No way. He wouldn't be wackey enough for the public and I just don't he's that way inclined.

Al,

Not all these people on these show's are "wacky" they only throw a few in there
to stir things up. Mick Taylor, ex Rolling Stone would quickly get the attention
of these clowns who put together these lineups, that is unless Jagger/Richards
has put out the word: "Don't touch this guy" -

And I would not be surprised if that Black-Ball situation isn't already in place.
