We've all seen album covers by other artists which are obvious tributes to Stones albums. Ex. Exile has been copied many times

I think this is the Black Crowes version of the Sticky Fingers album cover.


Post other examples.....and general photos that look similar to Stones photos.

The other way around

How does one post a photo?

there's a couple ways to post...one is....find an image on the internet by doing a google image search......copy the image location (in properties). when posting on IORR tell me...sandwich that location between .

another way is to put the picture in PHOTOBUCKET and cut/paste the address...which (will have the IMG stuff) to your IORR post.

i do the first one most often..unless i post an original photo.

Not an album cover, but I recall a portrait someone posted on Rocks Off a couple of years ago that someone had found of a Nazi rally, and the layout, staircases, pillars as well as the various poses were quite obviously ripped off wholesale by Guy Peelart for the IORR album cover. A fascinating comparison.

John Mellencamps's new FREEDOM'S ROAD looks similar to EXILE ON MAIN ST.
No coincidence...I've heard John Mellencamp express his admiration for Exile..I think he even said it was his favorite.
