IIRC that was in Stephen Still's house back in 1969.
Yep, shortly before the tour. Apparently the chick was a housekeeper and someone told her
she could be in the photos if she'd take off her clothes. So she did.
The shots are probably by Thomas Monaster.

Suddenly Bill looks like the cool leader of the band. The clothes, the hair, the pose. Girls had that influence on him.
I believe there's an article somewhere about this shot, posted long ago. Maybe even written by our own hbwriter -- I'll
ask him. But I think someone found this woman and interviewed. IIRC, her story wasn't that thrilling or insightful, but
mildly interesting.
I am more interested in the Harley now. Wonder whose it is?
I'm going to conjecture it may have been one of the people from the Bay Area who went down to LA to talk to the
Stones about what would later be known as Altamont. Sweet William and Emmett Grogan had bikes. Or maybe it was
Peter Fonda or one of those people in LA.
Anyone?

English newspapers attracted their attention as they passed that shop?

Me too, some of the stuff they wore back then and the hair made them look like Gods!
Crazy how many outfits they had, just when I think I've seen every photo of them pre '82, another one pops up with them wearing something different. That one of Keith on the bed wearing the hat with the girl is incredible.

Forget Bill, Charlie looks shell-shocked. You have to wonder what went through poor Charlie's mind back then. Moments like that one must have sorely tempted him or maybe he just wanted to disappear.

Well-spotted. For some reason I thought it was France, but it also looks like Keith is carrying a copy of the Daily Telegraph (hopefully just to read reviews . . ).

I think I was wrong about that magazine being Punch - if you look at Punch covers online, the style and typeface are wrong. So it probably is Rome.
