Nowadays the Stones album titles are chosen by survey groups and marketing consultants. (OK--I'm guessing. But would that even surprise you?)

If that were so, the titles would be probably a tad less cutesy.

So the next question is did the European market get cheated out of music with the EP's and their limitations of music as compared to the American LP? Or was it a compatibility issue with the record players of the time?

No..it wasnt released earlier. It came out as a single in April 1970, same time as the "let It Be" album

It WAS however recorded in January 1969. The single and album had such a long gestation period because the sessions were being filmed and movies take so long to edit. they recorded and released Abbey Road in between (released Sept 1969)

The song Let It Bleed was recorded a few months after the song Let It Be but was released some months before.
