how to define legacy member?

at least through the spring, a legacy member was someone who joined the rs.com before may 9th, '05 (the date the first tickets for the tour went on sale). i did join before in order to attend an event in new york for the R&R circus DVD relase. so we were given first access to tickets with our one-time code - before the post-may 9th members.

now a friend is saying that if you joined before a year to the current date, you are now a legacy member for the upcoming fall leg - so for example if you joined before august 20th, '05, you are now a legacy member.

anyone know if this is true?
