I am listening to The Rolling Stones 'Hyde Park Legend 1969', a double CD (c) Goldplate Ltd I bought on eBay and which arrived from Japan today.

It's the complete Hyde Park concert with every song performed and Mick's eulogy to Brian Jones. Plus a TV News report, a 'Stones in the Park' Radio Special in 6 parts and two tracks performed on the David Frost TV show in 1969 - Sympathy and YCAGWYW.

One more for the collection and a perfect way to end my day.

I didn't know the "Teddy Boys" have a dedicated website with history:

[edwardianteddyboy.com]

More: [en.wikipedia.org]

They are spoken of in passing ever so often.

In Australia:

Quote

The males were called Bodgies and the females were called Widgies.

[en.wikipedia.org]

Kinks music indeed references Teddy Boys and Spivs, not so sure about others mentioning them.

This lot: caught them busking in Kingston on Saturday and bought the CD. They play all over southern England so keep an eye open for them!
