carlton's amazing...but, no, was never that much into that brand of jazz - although i will occasionally indulge. gimme the straight ahead bebop stuff - miles, coltrane, cannonball, etc. also, very much a fan of the "west coast" dudes like desmond, mulligan, baker, etc. among jazz guitarists, kessel, montgomery and farlow are some of my faves...

I am a huge Springsteen fan but I had no idea that Little Steven was this great on his own.I could easily imagine Springsteen singing some songs from Men without women.

Stevie's guitar solos are always razor sharp and always daunting if not haunting. Live guitar duos with the Boss performing Murder Inc. and Gypsy Biker is further confirmation. Hopefully, more LS and D of S videos are available.

I found lots of Disciples of Soul videos on youtube, most from Rockplast concert in 1982.I prefer Steven's playing to Nils' even if the latter is a far more acclaimed guitar player.Steve just seems to be a perfect fit for the e street band and if one of them was to leave the band I'd rather have Steve by Bruce's side.
