no - he was a lot more tentative - saying we'd all know something in a week or so and that he hoped the tour would start by warsaw so the project could play there (i contacted him about that show).

>> I don't think we can expect an entire new schedule be announced directly. <<

i got no (0) expectations, but it's easy to imagine that we might just get an announcement that the first few shows are postponed,
with new dates and updates on later shows to be announced later - or that all systems are go from date X onward -
or anything in between.

>> no - he was a lot more tentative - saying we'd all know something in a week or so <<

thanks, Little Queenie. i think it would be very cool if you could post that over on shidoobee as well -
people over there seem to be sure Stones Inc has stated that we will definitely hear most/all the details on may 22nd
and if that's not the case, they're going to be all outraged again for no good reason.
(if you're not into posting on shidoobee, would it be okay if i post a link over there to this post of yours?)

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

Next week is what they said the day after the operation as well..

actually what they said after the operation was
"Full details of the re-scheduling of the tour will be announced shortly."
people interpret/reword things as they will, and then blame Stones Inc for it.

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

In this case no news are bad news.

..or not ;^).

In a sense, the delay only starts NOW . Not when keith had the procedure, not when he bumped his head, but around now.
It's only this next week which would have required the band themselves to congregate for a few days rehearsals and preparations.
I suspect that RS inc. is hoping to be in a position to announce a full revised schedule before they say anything. Anything they say before Keith decides he's ready to go is as speculatory as the nonsense we've been kicking around this and other forums. The fact that they haven't said ANYTHING [beyond postponing the first couple of dates] may indicate that they are pretty close to the full picture. If they didn't have a clue, I think they'd have had to make some kind of stalling statement by now.
So that's my speculation..LOL . If we must do it...lets have various angles ;^)

I agree. I go back and forth on what the delay means. Most likely they are still figuring things out; it could be that they are still holding out some hope that the dates that will end up being pushed back are only two or three. The fact that Keith is still in New Zealand (if he's really still there), however, is certainly not very encouraging.

Where would Keith need to be right now ? I don't think that's necessarily a big factor at this particular moment.

Well, if I were recovering from brain surgery I'd rather be home than in some hotel or rented apartment a world away. I figured that if he's not home it's probably because he is not fit to travel. And that can't possibly be good news.

The worst place for an ex-blood clot patient to be is in a jetplane.
Probably way way better playing on stage than flying.
I wonder how they will solve that in Europe.

...Maybe he could borrow one of Bill's tour buses... ?

LOL
So that's another circle we've just gone round in !
We just have to wait and see.
The main thing is that Keith will ultimately be OK.

i post once in a while over there and its probably because the format there is a little difficult...i just did several searches through the site and can't find discussion about the announcement date (only info on keith's injury but nothing in the last few days) - so go ahead and post my info where appropriate - thanks!!

okay, i did: [p081.ezboard.com]

there's also a post over there saying Keith was still in Auckland as of 17 hours ago,
as evidenced by people successfully "sending items in to be autographed".
... all kinds of blessings on the man.

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

We need to get ourselves together,be patient and realise what Keith is likely to be going thru.
Shit happens i had an operation 27/5/05 to remove a lump, fortunately for me is was benign and i was back at work after 4 weeks.
However if i had not been sitting at a desk using mental skills rather than physical ones then i would have been have off for 12 weeks.
Keiths head operation could take upto 12 weeks before he is fully fit and ready to play guitar for 2 hours with the 'Stones' in live concert.
Let's all give some consideration for Keith and his family where his physical and mental well being is the most important factor of all.
We all wan't to see the 'Stones' in live concert from late June 2006 onwards but that is why your prayers for the 'Good Lord to Shine a Light' on Keith is extra special.
Let's all start posting positive thought's rather than blaming 'Keith' for being an ar-ewhole who has not grown up.

How many of you out there have not got blasted thru drinks or drugs and awakened up the next day not knowing what the f--k did i do or say that might have upset someone.
Hopefully with all the positive vibes and well wishes to 'Keith' the European concert will only be dealyed for 3/4 weeks .
