Just approaching 1000, but I wonder if this tracks posts you made before this site was redesigned.
Nikkibong who do you like Oregon? I live in New England (CT) and am considering relocating and that is one place that interests me. Also looked into Colorado and looked at places there last year.

Hi Hound Dog,
I think Nikki's on vacation so he might not get back to you for a bit. My brother moved to CO from MA and he absolutely loves it. He's lived in Vail for a few years and recently moved to Boulder for his job. Vail is very expensive. I think they like living in Boulder better if that helps at all.
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
I've lived in Oregon a good part of my life. Great people; great cultural stuff. Weather is very very rainy for 8 months of the year. The other 4 are as good as it gets. But, many folks who migrate there from better-weather places ultimately can't handle it. Portland and Seattle have the two highest suicide rates of all major US cities - because it's been proven a direct link between lack of sunshine and depression. be warned.
having said that - I love Oregon - I'll be up there manana visiting dear ol' mom.

CindyC, Boulder is great, I've been there twice and loved it. Lots of hippies out there and lots of bars/delis and stuff with Stones posters on the walls. Never been to Vail but I went to different parts of Denver and liked most of it.
The only thing that turns me off about Oregon is the rain, don't mind some rain but would get sick of it. And Colorado supposedly gets more sunny days a year than San Diego. Would love to see the Stones play a show at Red Rocks.

this year, you're right. but try dealing with that EVERY year. there's a reason we pay the big bucks to live here, ya know....
yah your right. although it seems bad sometimes its definatlybetter here rain wise. but its expensive too. i could live in a MUCH better place for what I pay if I lived in say, Modesto or something.

true, but then you'd be "in Modesto or something." That's the catch.
yeah, thats always the catch. One of the reasons I liked Rain Fall Down so much is that it reminded of SF. "why do we live in this strange grey town... Bankers and @#$%& every thursday night they just vomit on the ground"(union Street) or Clement st.
