On Elton's expanded "Here And There" live CD, it's got the Thanksgiving show that was John Lennon's last public concert. John joins the band for "Lucy In The Sky" (Elton's hit at that time), "Whatever Gets You Through The Night", and "I Saw Her Standing There". 'Rock Of The Westies' was another pretty good rocking album after CF.

Bro, he was so huge at that time. Almost everybody dug some of EJ's music. They may not admit it now though.

Bought his single "Your Song" 71 or something, and the Best Of 1974.

But dad's a true Stones-fan so I remember being three or four years old, thinkin that our stereo only played Stones when you put it on. Like it was programmed in some way.

Hey did you buy any chance see the movie, "Be Cool" starring Travolta and Uma Thurman. Steven Tyler plays himself in the movie. It's hilarious.

When I was around 7 it was the Bay City Rollers. Then I experienced a real rock band - AC/DC. Throughout the 80's, it was AC/DC and Bowie all the way til late 1989. From that point on, it's been all Rolling Stones...and AC/DC. But the Stones edge out AC/DC just slightly.

Always (and still do) liked AC/DC. I was turned on to them about 1979 with High Voltage. I was slightly ahead of the curve as most first heard the band with Highway or Back In Black. Loved Bon's voice and the Young brothers' guitar sounds. No pretentious crap, just straight ahead r'n'r.

Surprisingly I haven't seen it yet. I really want to though. I've been really bad about keeping up with movies lately. But anythign with Steven Tyler has to be worth seeing.

I'm telling the truth here: from absolute Day 1, Second 1 my favorite band has always been the Stones. I do not know life without the Stones on top of me.

Since then, I've never quite been able to pick one over the other.
The Stones and The Beatles...definitly the two best bands ever!

Slade, Sweet, Ziggy Era Bowie, and Sex Pistols all did it for me before the Stones. But its funny - I bought some Pistols records on the same day my Dad picked up ROLLED GOLD- all in 1977 ..I never took too much notice of his taste in records until that day, but then he played 'Gimme Shelter'. From that day the STONES were the band, and it has never changed since that day and never will. Shelter remains my favourite track of all time.

Oh, and Little Willy by Sweet- its great!!
