I initially thought it was nasty boots too. When he sings it live on Licks though, it sound more like "plastic".

Didnt he say Chinese Boots? Maybe thats just my imagination. whatever it is im pretty sure he changes the lyrics on the licks version to something other than whats on the album version. Erik Snow, is it true that its really about a shoe shop? Is gullable not a word in the dictionary? But really I cant tell if your kidding or not. It seems plausable. I guess I could look up on the lyrics on the "inner-web".

I think its nasty boots origionally but live he sang it as plastic. Yeah i saw a girl in plastic boots and plastic raincoat actually at a bar once. the jacket and boots were really shiny. ON the live licks version I thought he said "Chinese boots" I need to check that. If he did say that, I have no idea what that means.

i would think that Chinese Boots ARE made of plastic.
