Tat2you, "Highwire", one of their best songs and something they should be playing live now. Yeah, there's more political songs in the Stones cataloge then people realise.....

Well you sum up palestinians by saying its ok for arabs to kill civilians in Israel because they are Jewish. the Arab hate against Jews which is a lot older than you think. If you are Jewish you most likely dont want to be summed up by anyone. Neoconservatives arent Jewish if you think that.

I just don't understand what Rinus Israel has to do with the Stones?!

Re: israel

Mick Taylor was never officially an equal member of the Stones, although he was in the band for 5 years. That makes actually perfect sense considering that Ronnie Wood wasn't an official Stone until 1991. We're talking roughly 16 years of brilliant work in order to make the grade and earn a place in the inner circle of the ultimate, most coveted band for any guitar player to be part of. Rock me, Ronnie!

I'm a Sean Penn fan but don't know that one. I'm on a DVD release cycle, gave up on going to theaters when they got too, what's the word, noise-y and trash-y...sometimes I miss out cause of the time lag between theater and DVD release. Some films slip through the cracks. Will have to check it out - thanx. I'm gonna go get an iced coffee, be back soon....

Wait LA FORUM, when did I ever say it was cool for Arabs to kill civilians, Jewish or not? My first message had to do with the way the Government and the Military behaves sometimes (and as far as I'm concerned, living in the US, the Government and military sure don't act or speak for me) When i started talking about the people that's a WHOLE different ballgame. People and Government are like Vinager and Oil in my book. I'm SO against most of the crap my Government does (and I'm sure the feelings are the same in Israel and Palestine - in fact I'm sure of it having talked to both the few times I've been there) I know the feelings are VERY deep but the ONLY way out is to talk it through (however long it takes) and forgive what happened in the past - from both sides - cause if one doesn't do that it will just be an endless cycle - the way it is now. May not sound too great but there is no other way. Look at how well the Jews and Arabs get along around the Sharm el Sheik (sp?) (Red Sea) area. When that terrorist attack happened i heard a lot Egyptians and Israeli's saying the "other guys" are alright, "We have no problems with each other".See, it CAN work.....

yeh all mickt did was powerhouse everything from 'live with me' thru ya-ya's, sticky fingers, exiles, iorr and others, in the studio and countless truly legendary performances...just don't listen to any of that lame shit anymore...you'll be fine...it's not really the 'official' stuff...that they are still selling every night primarily...ronnie is honest and gracious enough to even recently, still be talkin' about working hard to nail talyor's parts...

funny tho; for an unofficial stone; he was given original status in all press and album cover shots and featured proudly and dominantly and immediately...
because by the time he powered up LWM and HTW and BS...even before that...
he had already 'MADE THE GRADE' and had more than earned "a place in the inner circle blah blah"...
apparently the stones disagree with you...
as for their business arrangements, i'm not in charge of payroll and the mickster even tried to 'accomodate' robert johnson's 'love in vain' till that got put straight...
so here's to mick...both of 'em... that's official.
a consistent period of amazing albums one after another, forever legendary...
and taylors all over alla that stuff...

i love ronnie in the stones and the faces and jeff beck;
but your equation seems kinda silly to me...
