While they're walking through the tunnel, heading for the concert is really great. Bobby playing the saxophone, Mick smiling and jumping and so on. "Midnight Rambler" interrupts this scene. Actually this footage is even better when it's clipped into "Happy", as on the 25X5 video.

Erik,
So right. the 25x5 is better (Happy). Love that clip.

Not my favourite but it is memorable, where Keith throws a T.V. out of the window. I think Bobby Keyes is with him at the time too.

Sure,
There are these women at the counter, fawning over Keith. It just strikes me as funny because their so thrilled to meet a rockstar, and Keith is being polite. It's really nothing, but I laugh every time. Keith just smiles, mumbles and lites up a smoke.

I love the scene where the girl drops her cigarette ashes into Keith's hair, actually the build up to the scene is great. The camera pans back and forth across the room and each time Keith is closer and closer to nodding off. I just find that whole thing really amusing.

Another favorite is when they're in a few cars driving through the south and just waving at each other. I like to imagine how much fun that would have been to have been in that entourage, or also just how cool it would have been to happen to be in a car driving by and seeing all the RS in station wagons like that.

Yeah, that car-sequence is really great. Especially when they meet this American cowboy, who plays some songs on his acoustic guitar. Then it strikes you how many million miles the Rolling Stones are from the usual "musician". That cowboy seems so down to earth, while our band are touching the moon.

Classic flick--my favorite RnR movie of all time (actually tied with L&G).

The scene I love is where they are jamming backstage, or at least it looks like backstage, in a circle with just the crew and entourage--they sound great and look like they are having soo much fun.

That and the blistering Uptight/Satisfaction medley.

Mick Jagger as Tina Turner walks past him and Keith and Bobby throwing the tv out the hotel window.

I think they play the last part of "Under My Thumb" over and over again.... Sounds a bit like "I'm Free" too.

The closing credits are my favorite part....! CB is THE most boring rock film I've ever seen(that or Charlie Is My Darling!) only watched it all the way through once...its buried deep in my collection!smiling smiley))

True. Extremely boring film. You hear and read about all those wild tour stories from the 70s (especially the 72 tour) and expect all hells breaking lose and then I've watched that movie and had a hard time not to fall asleep while watching it. Being on tour must be very boring. If it was as boring already in '72 how must it be now???

I like the scene where Keith is passed out backstage laying his head on some girls lap while Mick gives an interview....spinal tap at its finest!

I like the part where Mick's strolling through some garden in his white clothes and a big black hat. He looks like Charlie (not Watts) in his Choclate Factory. Suddenly he's entering stage with those clothes and start a fast version of 'Brown Sugar.'

I like the part of Mick & Bianca in the hotel room, her trying on the dress with Ossie adjusting it. Also the part where they're sitting in the living room, you see a big fluffy cat parade by, then Keith playing piano.

It's really funny with that gay man holding a flower. He says something (I can't remember what), that sounds so gay as gay can be.
Chippy, were you present at the Phildelphia show? That must be an all-time high!

CSB is full of scenes like that. Its not really a movie, just a series of random scenes but its so interesting

I've only seen it once, and I was amazed when I realized I didn't really enjoy it that much. I would compare CS Blues to the Gimme Shelter DVD -- Mick and Keith dancing around the hotel room to Brown Sugar, listening to the playback of Wild Horses, mixing Little Queenie. That stuff is priceless.

The last time I saw Gimme Shelter on DVD there was Bonus footage of mick backstage with Ike & Tina. They were talking about hair color. And Mick played some guitar.
