hello everybody!
i want to introduce me as a new member here.
since a long time i am enjoying the news and messages from iorr
and i want to thank bjornulff for his fantastic work.
please excuse my lousy english, but i am german - from hamburg -
and not used to write in english.
i am visiting a friend of mine - a gorgeous blonde with blue eyes -
here in palm beach in florida, and i would have liked to see one
of the oldest boy-groups perform in fort lauderdale, but i am
a bit limited economically, bad luck indeed.
but things are not that bad, we received free tickets and vip-access
for the langerado music festival from a friend.
highlights among the many are the meters (some stones-connections,
i think), the flaming lips, the black crowes...
the weather is fine - in hamburg it is snowing, in palm beach it
is pretty warm - i think, it will be a terrific festival.
looking at my name, you can easily guess, who is my favourite member
of the stones.
i had my ups and downs with fanship, but as i got older too, i finally
made my peace with those guys, their musical and personal development.
so there may come some jokes from me in the future, but surely no
heavy bashing anyone.
yes, 20 years ago, me too had more hair, and some might say, my performance
was better then...
i hope, not too many...
i wish everybody a nice day!

i like every good twang...
but thinking about duane eddy, i must say,
that i only know some songs, but don't owe
a record or cd.
sure worth checking out!
i listen to many different kinds of music,
and my journey still continues.
"twanghound" is the result of choosing a name
for ebay once.
i wanted something that had a stones - or better
a keith-connection.
i found it clever to choose "keef", but as you
might have guessed, there was a keef on ebay yet.
there were riffhards, nanker phelges, redlands,
blue lenas, spanish tonys ...horrible.
many beers and many names later i remembered an
article from a british musicmagazine, where they
described my hero as an old twanghound under a
photo of the riffmaster doing one of his trademark-posings.
as i like a good airguitar once in a while, i tried that
name, and luckily i was the first.
i have a little hangover this morning and i smoked too much
yesterday on the festival, but it was a great event.
after the show, we were hanging out with some guys of the
flaming lips troup at the pool of their hotel, having a
few drinks and chatting, very nice people.
that made me think, what it might be like, to be a musician
and to be on tour. sure the stones play in a special liga yet,
but even for them the tour-routine must be hard.
planes, cars, trucks, hotels, here today, there tomorrow.
it's hard work i think.
for some of the lips roadies it was even harder, they had to
dance around in goofy costumes on stage, while i was sitting
in the shade, having a cold beer - and i was sweating!
