i like every good twang...
but thinking about duane eddy, i must say,
that i only know some songs, but don't owe
a record or cd.
sure worth checking out!
i listen to many different kinds of music,
and my journey still continues.
"twanghound" is the result of choosing a name
for ebay once.
i wanted something that had a stones - or better
a keith-connection.
i found it clever to choose "keef", but as you
might have guessed, there was a keef on ebay yet.
there were riffhards, nanker phelges, redlands,
blue lenas, spanish tonys ...horrible.
many beers and many names later i remembered an
article from a british musicmagazine, where they
described my hero as an old twanghound under a
photo of the riffmaster doing one of his trademark-posings.
as i like a good airguitar once in a while, i tried that
name, and luckily i was the first.
i have a little hangover this morning and i smoked too much
yesterday on the festival, but it was a great event.
after the show, we were hanging out with some guys of the
flaming lips troup at the pool of their hotel, having a
few drinks and chatting, very nice people.
that made me think, what it might be like, to be a musician
and to be on tour. sure the stones play in a special liga yet,
but even for them the tour-routine must be hard.
planes, cars, trucks, hotels, here today, there tomorrow.
it's hard work i think.
for some of the lips roadies it was even harder, they had to
dance around in goofy costumes on stage, while i was sitting
in the shade, having a cold beer - and i was sweating!
