I wonder how many others will affected by this policy! OK, I bought my Athens ticket on the internet at the public sale shortly after it started, FOS for 95 Euros. I was very happy. There was no delivery method option for those of us outside of Greece, so I opted for ticket pick up. Then in my confirmation letter I got this disturbing news:

number.It is not possible for third party to pick up your tickets.

No money back guarantee. Your tickets will expire in the case you do not pick
them up on time.>>>>

Well for two days I tried to call them and the line was busy, and I emailed. I cannot be in Athens, thousands of miles from home in 48 hours, and the ambigous wording implies I loose my ticket. Tonight I get this response via e-mail:

<<<<Dear Customer,

Let us know your telephone number and home address and we will contact you the next weeks to inform you about the extra fee in order to send your tickets via courier. You can pick up your tickets till 10th of June.

The best is to be send via courier.

Thank you for your interest>>>


Well of course courier here is about 70 Euros for a 95 Euro ticket. To top it off, my island only gets two couriers ( DHL and Fed EX) andis so isolated that even the fastest service can take 10 days easy. Ambigous wording in the response still leaves me uneasy; they will contact me in the "next weeks?" For reasons other than the tour, I leave my home about May 10 without a firm address and do not return until AFTER Athens! KNowing all of this sure might have changed how I did things!!

you are screwed. I would<nt send another cent. Plan on scalping, but you may get lucky when you check out their address in person. Good Luck
