I believe this is from a charity concert that they did in 84. The ARMS concert which was for multiple sclerosis. I think part was to help out former Faces bassist Ronnie Lane, who eventually passed away. They eventually played a couple shows in the US. I must have taped it when it was on tv but that was over 20 years ago so I would have to hunt through all my video tapes to find it. Or, it may have been released on VHS at the time, I can't remember.
Probably from the time they all got together for: Ronnie Laine of the Faces he came down with an illness and couldn't play anymore so they did a benefit, Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers were also there. There are (2) VHS releases for this
called; ARMS, I think
That version of Layla didn't look familiar from memory though??
I saw two shows in S.F. Clapton started, then Page and Beck came last although they played together on some too obviously. Bill and Charlie were the rhthym section for the whole thing. Most notable was that both nights especially the first night Beck blew away the other with flaming rocking guitar solos. Beck is not my favorite but I was very impressed.
