I applaud their efforts and hope it does some good because this senseless killing pisses me off, and if I were a celebrity who could add my voice to the cause, I would! There is nothing funny about this! Those little seals are beaten to death with clubs and I'd love to take a bat to those killers!

what i meant by calling the beatles the greatest/biggest band is to just stress that fact that paul didnt just show up, he as well as the rest of the band worked very hard to create the success of the beatles...definatly its a matter of opinion personally i think the stones live up to "world's greatest rnr band," in fact i cant stand paul's solo stuff but im not going to attack the man because he has earned his wealth through hard work

A very BIG bat, Debra! It's unbelievable that this still goes on in one of the greatest countries in the world! I've joined many others around the world to contribute to the organizations that have tried to put a stop to this "tradition" like the International Fund For Animal Welfare...but still it continues. This is not a Canadian issue, it is a humanitarian issue. I'm happy that Paul and his wife are making a great effort to draw more attention to this shameful and barbarous practice (Paul doesn't HAVE to do this!!!)! This isn't the only subhuman act in the world that needs to be put to an end, but it certainly is one of them. Admittedly, it's hard to give up traditions, "economic" or not, that involve animals or humans. I mean..how could we ever forget the wonderful "tradition" we once had of having slaves to work our plantations and clean our homes. That certainly made good economic sense. But, sadly for some, the good ol' days are gone (from this country) as many have realized their mistakes and found other solutions and things have changed and gotton a bit better...hopfully, the situation with this upcoming slaughter of baby seals will change and be ended very soon...the clock is ticking.

Rick

Whale watching seems to be working well now.

Sure they need it? They make a living out of it? I don't get your point. People kill chickens too? Cows? Deers? Not to mention fishes... That's all appropriate. Why is killing a seal so sad? Because they have such adoring eyes?

Reptile is so right here. Those little seals are soooo cuuute and that's why we have to do something. Indeed I hear nobody about the 'regular' hunting or pigs or cows. I'm sure you all enjoy your pork chops and t-bones. And why don't I hear nobody about those poor cute Iraki children?

and @ StonesTod who asked: "did you watch the show? sounds like you didn't."

No I didn't. I don't need to watch (American) "news" channels who only air what their corporate owners want them to air.
