One day we were watching a show about Mick Jagger and they mentioned one of his sons named Gabriel. My son Dylan, turned to me and said in an angry voice, "You named me after two rock stars!" I had to explain to him that Gabriel Jagger was born AFTER him, so get off my case! ....lol

Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
i have twins and was thisclose to naming them michael and keith so they could be referred to as the glimmer twins, but as that would have also made Michael a junior and i didnt think it was fair to tho other one to hvae his borther named after dad, we went a different way.
they are 6 1/2 now and are actually big fans, so i told them the story and it seemed as if they were a bit bummed out!! Oh well.
[there was also a small part of me that feared the possibility of a self fulfilling prophecy of naming your kid afer a heroine junkie]
Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
My older brother's name is Mick, partly after Mick Jagger. My name is Kent, and I tell people that it's because Mick 'n Keef come from Dartford, Kent in England..........I'm lying each time.

Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
I was going to name my son Keith Richard King, but my wife said no. She was more receptive to Michael Phillip, but that didn't happen either. My cousin's dog is named Mick Jagger.
Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
I named my son last October Nicholas Jagger. His mother went into labor the night I was supposed to be at the Stones second show in Philly. My wife, not the Stones fan I am, suggested Jagger as a middle name and in the maternity ward there were two baby boys with the first name of Jagger.
Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
I have a cockatiel named Scoop after the title of a Pete Townshend album.
I had a cousin who was a Stones fan to the extent that he followed the Keith lifestlye, or whatever he thought that meant, until they found his body floating in the East River in New York City. His son's middle name is Keith. Keith is a nice name, but it's not very Italian ....

Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
My son's third name is Keith. I wanted it be very discreet, yet a hidden souvenir forever. Keith is very unusual in France. I had to spell it numerous time to the public officer when registering the birth.
Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
YEA..i named my oldest son BRIAN..he is now 11...i took him to see the stones on the licks tour and he loved it..funny part is how nice the fans around us were to him..as soon as they found out what his name was that made him feel like a star...bringing him along i could have picked up tons of girls....ha..
sadly i wanted to name my other kids after the stones but the wife said no way...
i wanted to name my 2nd keith richard d. (my brother was named richard) still she said no.....

Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
Named my cat Charlie - does that count? Unfortunately, he has no rhythm at all.
The name Keith was compromised for me years ago by a friend of the same name who betrayed me in a manner that's not even discussable on this board. I've been hoping KR would change his name ever since....
Re: Has anyone else named their kids after the Stones?
