I'm not watching this live. Instead, I will rely on one of you good people to record it. Or if that doesn't work, I'll watch it in the movie theater on Feb. 28. Are they just doing that in the U.S., or is it in Europe and elsewhere as well?

anyone know if AOL rebroadcasts these things later in the evening? I have plans i can't get out of tomorrow, but i'd love to give my new DSL connection a strong test by trying to watch this thing. (i hear it is an entire show of rarities!!)

I wonder why not in Europe? Don't Europeans go to the movies?

nothing to do with that...its a contractual thing

They dont seem to like doing broadcasts/PPVs etc in countries that they havent played in yet. This seems to have been the norm over the last few tours

Yesterday I looked at a reporter standing at the Stones hotel, beach and podium.
a stones coverband, and Jagger arriving at his hotel.

When you've been watching the AOL stream, it will be stored in your Temporary Internet Files Folder. Just find it and save it as wmv or whatever.
Make sure you have enough space on your harddisc where the Temp Folder is located.
so better clean your hd now and empty the browser cache.

(usually C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\user\Lokale Einstellungen\Temporary Internet Files)

J.P. a video capture card would only be usefull if you have the opportunity to receive the tv-signal, wich dosen't seem to be the case in europe.
instead, just use your browser.

I presume this all means that the concert starts around 9:30 p.m. in Rio and we can watch it at 4:30 p.m. in California??? Can anyone confirm?? Also I just got an e-mail saying that quite a few movie theaters throughout USA are showing it on the big screen for one night only on Feb. 28. think the e-mail came from RS.com. anyone going to Berkely to watch???

open-g,
I'm not quite sure it's possible to find a file in your internet temporary files folder because it's a live broadcast. It is different when you watch something which is already stored. For Rio, it can't be the same.

Howdy all,

New to the board, but happy to say I'll be seeing the second show in Tokyo...

In any case, just wondering, if someone does record the RIO show, where can I get my hands on it??

Thanks in advance...

Wellcome, new member.

You will be informed as to where to get it, don't worry, it will probably be through the way that happens to be the most appropriate for the taper(s)...

Have fun on the board!

How many people will be trying to watch this concert on AOL ??.

No - as the DVD will be an official release, it wouldnt be allowed on either

Audio is unlikely as the format is likely to be 'lossy'

Have any of you tested the recorded shows on the AOL link? Right now, I'm sampling the John Mayer Trio (hard blues, kinda Stevie Ray Vaughn-ish). The sound quality is excellent, BUT the video tends to freeze at times.

So, this is what we'll have to endure.

I would think that depends more on your connection and computer (in my case, not great) than the feed. Though they could screw it up too, of course.

Get a free 3 day subscription with XM radio on the net.
Listen to that on Deep tracks channel 40,
and watch the live pics on AOL.

Well that is what I am trying to do.

I can see a mess mess mess

But I live in hope.
