Bizarre vocal, typical Keith rambling, singing - sounds like he was bored in the studio waiting for mick to turn up and thought, "Might as well crucify the song, got nothing else to do.....".

What does come over very clear though, is Daryll Jones plodding, unadventurous bass line - it never moves off the root note.

yep its interesting. This is clearly a Keef one. Micks Harmonica is already on the backing track so I reckon they were working this up and Mick eventually took Keiths lyrics and edited them plus added his own bits. Thats how it seems. No doubt someone with more knowledge will put me right!

it's really amazing to have a chance to hear the artist at work developing a lyric,
and it's very cool to appreciate what we're hearing.

Love Is Strong is very underated in my opinion. It's one of the best songs they've done in the last 25 years or so - I love that harp! I wish they would play this one in concert again.
