Thanks so very much for a great pre New Year's present!!! Interesting that Keith plays a lot of barre chords in the tune. I don't think he plays as much that way these days... Is this entire show available on video/dvd??? It makes me miss Bill's sound/playing more and more.

That is great video...

I've heard Willie and Keith on the CD Willie and Friends and always thought it was one of KR's best collaborations, didn't realize Ryan Adams and Hank W III are on it too... Ryan really contributes on this video, you can see one shot where Keiths sorta smiling, recognizing Ryan over on the other side of the front line.

You wonder just how much longer Willie's guitar is gonna last... it's so old it's got major holes in it... must be seasoned just to where he likes it now.

Goin' waaaay back in time, below is an incredible video of Jagger, Richards, and Taylor bangin' away at Dead Flowers in the "Taylor Prime" days...

Great audio quality for what it is, too. A definitive version of the song, MT just totally carries the guitar here.

Why doesn't Keith play the lead on Dead Flowers when prformed live in the current tour?!

The Ryan Adams bit is cool, but Keith's still the coolest among them.

Back when the song was originally recorded and first played in concerts he didn't play lead ... see KR and MT on the tape above... that was predominantly Taylor

yes, i knew that, but sice Ronnie's playing doesn't sound so great it that number, I thought it may be better for Keith to play it himself...

The youtube server seems down, probably overwhelmed by all the IORR attention.

Ah - it's working again, although in bits and pieces.
