4k ultra HD? Is this for real? Did they record that show on film? I doubt 4k video cameras even existed back then. I think Austin 2006 was the first show that was recorded in Full HD....

Considering they now like the Rolling Stones, perhaps the NME will review this release, making amends for the absolute negativity and drubbing they dished-out in their Shepherds Bush review from at the time, in 1999!

The 2006 Beacon Theatre performances, released as 'Shine A Light' (2008) were shot on 16 & 35mm film as well - [www.IMDb.com] . It was also released as second IMAX Stones concert film.

I always thought they used digital cinema cameras for it but now I ready they used one digital one and the rest were standard film cameras. So two things learned today.

In 2016, 'Havana Moon' was digitally shot in 4K with 14 Sony PMW-F55 cameras - [www.FDTimes.com] .

'Shepherds Bush Common'? I live in the area, and have never once heard it referred to as that. It's colloquially known as 'Shepherds Bush Green'

I sure hope the mix on this release is better than No Security or Shine a Light

I was lucky to attend this show, being in the right place at the right time (in London on business). I was near the front and remember it being so tight I could lift up my feet and not fall over. I recall the great setlist of course. But, having recently attended 6 No Security shows, I also think it was a fairly sloppy loose performance and that Ronnie appeared drunk. Still I look forward to this release.

This would be a better cover art, they just put a white arrow, the little gold tongue looks better!

Should be interesting video material - cameras very really close. Kind of like Shine a Light.

Thanks Irix!
Great news. I had to refresh my memory here.
A great concert with a lovely setlist and the Stones were very relaxed.
I remember sitting right behind Mick's brother Chris.
I spoke to him earlier in the hotel where we had to pick up the tickets. There I also briefly met with Bob Geldof and his (meanwhile late) young daughter.
I also remember Mick adding a line at the end of "Melody" to keep in line with the music: "in the microwave" (roast that child alive) grinning smiley
We were made aware of the presence of many crème-de-la-crème of the rock'n'roll scene like members of the Who, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, John Bon Jovi, Dave Steward, Geldof, etc., etc.
I have to admit that I only noticed a few, because I was there to enjoy the Stones of course cool smiley
A not so nice memory was seeing Anita P. at the end of the show standing at the stairs. Here appearance really shocked me.
Once outside an Englishman wanted to desparately buy my (white) plastic bag (I had bought an event T-shirt). I clearly didn't want to obviously, but his bidding went up to 8 (!) Pounds, so I gave up cool smiley and carried my T-shirt under my arm.
Great memories!

Wise point. My own grandparents lived nearby and my grandfather had a stall in the local market.

As far as I can tell the artwork is a reproduction of the 'A-Z' street directory - so anyone with a hard copy of that could check this out. (I no longer have one.)
