Shit, it feels stupid to comment a show based on youtube clips, but here we go..
with all due respect it is in no way stupid it's how 90% of fans have enjoyed most shows over the last decade and formed there opinions about them
it's not like where listening to scratchy distant and muffled audience recordings from 1972
the audio on these videos is significantly better then what's present on almost all the
audience recordings of the band created in the last 60 years (though not the better ones made in the last 25 or so years)
yes it is admittedly imperfect and inferior to actually hearing them live in person and a wise man would defer to the opinion of one who was there
and someone who wasn't there declaring definitively that a show or song was good or bad and then refusing to hear or consider the opinion of someone who was there is foolish
but it's also unfair to tell them they can't have or express strong opinions just because they got it from watching a video
i've seen this narrative and attitude used by some here to bully others into silence on these threads for the last few tours and i promise you it has convinced many to stop commenting on these threads and some sadly to leave iorr altogether
just think of all the interestesing opinions and dissents and conversations we've missed out on that could have brought even more enjoyment out of these threads and the tour for so many
and i'm sorry if i seem like i'm being long winded blowing this way out of proportion but this has really really bugged me for a long time
i agree with you the band is playing great and mick is fantastic
watching the videos from this tour has brought a temendous amount of joy into my life
a life in which few things do
and it's infuriating to see others that can only experience these shows thru a screen or speakers be made to feel as if there opinions and at times they themselves are unwelcomed
there not to me and many others here
and if someone out there has been made to feel this way and reads this and wants to post an opinion and can do it respectfully and without resorting to name calling and attacking other posters and can handle others respectfully disagreeing with them
then do it
there is so little time left for the band and these in reality givin there ages could be the last shows they ever do everyone who wants to should be able to participate in the conversation

Dead Flowers, one of my favorites. Great version with Lainy Wilson/ The only drawback was Ronnies guitar solo. Mick Taylor could nail this standing on his head/
Cool that Lainy got one verse on her own.

I personally think there are too many guests' appearance and too many duets.
They have become a distraction instead of a complement.

The shame is that we won't get a live album from these shows whilst ever there are plans or half plans to take the tour to other continents.

I heared a rumor of video shooting at LA#2 with a guest who is not opener.
Hopefully full show covered and released.

Shit, it feels stupid to comment a show based on youtube clips, but here we go..
Mick's voice problems seem to have disappeared
Not entirely - he was clearly discomforted a few times last night, needing to rush to get water and (I think) even spitting on the stage at one point. I felt his voice went hoarse a couple of times, mainly in the early part of the show, but nothing to take away from the overall performance.
syrel
I think he might be getting a phobia about his voice, could be nerves, he does this thing with tissues to his nose area but he disperses with the tissues so quickly one after another he's not actually doing anything with them.
I guess he badly wants to finish the tour to make a good profit so its stressful, he doesn't want to let anyone down i guess. I could be absolutely wrong though but as you said, spitting, water, tissues, it's every show, but he's singing great so it makes no sense.
we'll he's a professional and i assume is appropriately paranoid about losing his voice given how often its been an issue in the past
whatever he's doing seems to be working they haven't had to cancel a show yet this tour and he still has a strong voice most of the time
i think profit at this point given his extreme wealth isn't as big an issue to him anymore
i think these shows are done now (as he said recently) because he enjoys it
also its allergy season here in the us and if he's anything like me his nose is just constantly dripping

You might well be right about allergies but judging by the ticket and merchandise prices, not to mention taking a risk on his voice over 20 shows instead of 14 this time I'd say money is still a priority when it comes to this tour.

Mick said decades ago if you don't have fun on the road it's your own fault.
I guess they've always enjoyed it, Keith seems particularly happy the past few shows, it's lovely to see them enjoying their music, they definitely earned it.

The Dead Flowers Guest singer, did she get invited to sing with Mick because she was hot lol.
There have been far better guests available to sing with Mick throughout this tour that would have enhanced the music.

I didn't post after Thursday as I didn't think it was that great a show, but tonight was a whole other level. Perhaps the best GS I have ever seen in person (the look on Keith's face at the end told me he thought it was a good un). Among mamy highlights, Rocks Off and Shattered also excellent, and even the guest singer was bearable on Dead Flowers (Mick wore a fetching cowboy hat). After being a car crash on Thursday, Tell Me Straight was decent tonight, and BTMMR was rocking. My favourite of the four I've seen so far.
On to Vancouver!

Thursday night was great; Sunday night was greater.
We got seven song changes, a third of the setlist. And the new ones were stellar: Rocks Off (nearly perfect), Whole Wide World (a bit harsh in spots), Scattered (simply fantastic), Before They Make Me Run (the guitars kicking in kicks ass), Dead Flowers (with Lainey Wilson, who was great as an opener with a fine band, but she seemed too subdued here), even Miss You sounded great. This show was fantastic.
They resolved the bass flutter that was really bad Thursday. It popped up for Lainey Wilson pretty often. In fact, Daryl's bass solo might have been the greatest highlight of a night full of them, with no distracting bottom mess.
And Keith was on fire with his guitar, outshining Ronnie all night, and that's been a long time!
My new list of favorite shows:
1. Milwaukee 1975
2. Madison 1997
3. Detroit 2002
4. Chicago II 2024
Etc.

I don't usually pick people up for typos, but Scattered needs to go on that dodgy setlist with Tumbling Diec and Dead Horses!

Oh, you are absolutely right about everything you say here, and I agree with it. I was only talking about myself there: I personally don't feel myself qualified to say anything firm about a show from a base of a couple of random clips I happen to see. But it was self-ironical as well, since that's exactly what I still do.
