Lots of things to check out in Atlanta but I would put the Atlanta Aquarium, World of Coca Cola and CNN on the visit list for things to possibly see or do.

Just got pit 2 and hotel (don’t live in atl anymore… username seemed like a good idea at the time)

Concert postponed at the arena (next door to stadium) last night due to water main break affecting large parts of the city. Good that the Stones are a few days away and that the problem should be resolved by then.

As people hear definitive info on the water situation downtown please post

I was thinking how lucky we are Orlando was scheduled first over Atlanta in the tour itinerary or tomorrow may have been a big problem.

The Atlanta Department of Watershed said after the repairs at Joseph E. Boone Blvd and J.P. Brawley Driver were completed, water service was fully restored to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the Fulton County Jail, Atlanta City Detention Center, many of Atlanta’s critical facilities, and residents, including several senior high-rise buildings. Also, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena now have water service, and scheduled events will go on as planned.

Update--friend in the area says it could be a good idea to take extra water, as bottled water is still out in many areas. All will be OK at the stadium.

Yes, just got back from Orlando for two days then heading to Atlanta. It's a short flight from DCA

I never thought about it not being closed but I suppose it is a possibility. I would think Mick would want to run around in air conditioning after hot and humid Orlando. Plus, the sound crew set up indoors last time so maybe that would factor in.

On the other hand, I thought the sound could have been better from my seat last time so maybe I should want it to be open.

The roof has only opened 2 or 3 times total in the past few years, it’s VERY rare for some reason. I live in Atlanta, have attended many Falcons/United games, and several Concerts, and I’ve never seen it open. Even on beautiful blue-sky days, it’s nearly always closed. Not sure why….

To those with LDs:

I’m hoping for PIT like probably many of you. If anyone is getting LDs and does not want PIT, please let me know and maybe we could meet at the LD counter and trade if it works out that way.
