I imagine it was epic of course but how was the quality of the show looking back on it?

I'm asking this because years ago I heard a bootleg of the first Stones show I attended and it sounded very different then how I remembered it. This is of course because I was blown away by the experience.

It was the first time I saw the Stones live, and it was very impressive. The sound, the lights (mirrored from above the stage), and it was all instantly new. We had no previews of the shows, we didn't know what they will play (no setlists on the (not existing) internet), we had no reports and no tapes from earlier shows.Especially the evening show of september 26 1973 was very good, musically. Keith was on fire, Mick Jagger a bit over the top, the whole band was very energetic. You can search HOT STUFF (Buy/Sell/Trade) on IORR for recordings of the Berne shows. I am sure you will be pleased.

Hey! I was there as well, although it was far from my first show.

I had a good friend in London who a while earlier had moved to Bern, and when he left London I joked that in the unlikely event of The Stones playing in Bern he should send me a ticket.

One arrived in the post!!

So I went over (epic journey - train to Paris, then Paris to Bern) and saw both shows.

My first international shows.
