They should really mix in some arenas, haven't played Madison Square Garden since 2006.

If it were an open ended year, they probably would. Instead it's limited to 15-20 shows at about 2 shows a week with a massive infrastructure to support. It just wouldn't make financial sense. If the tour were winding up on the east coast I would predict another Hollywood, FL gravy show if anything that could be done after most of the staff is on the way home.

Up front, I know nothing…but I do love the intrigue.

Just for grins, though, did a search for rates for the Renaissance Glendale AZ hotel across the street from State Farm Stadium. Most nights, rates are in the $200/night range at that property for late April and May. On Monday May 6, though, rates spike to ~ $1000/night. And a couple other Marriott properties in that area are sold out. Wonder why? winking smiley

(State Farm Stadium schedule on web site is wide open for early May 2024…)

I have no idea of the reliability of the provenance of the poster image, but I'm not sure why people are dismissing it based on the tongue given that the Formula 1 image that no one disputed contains the same tongue.

The 23rd wasn't exactly the date I was expecting, but was roughly when I thought there might be shows there.

May 6 was the date that I expected before Woz assured us that the show would be in April.

.

AARP as a sponsor had people doubting.

As well as the 14 On Fire / Zip Code poster font.

Yes, I saw that. Prompted my search. Thanks.

State Farm booked for 4/27. “Monster Jam” or some such thing.

Haven’t any idea what the turnover time is for the stadium from that to a Stones show, but assume it is a few days before and after. So I’d guess State Farm isn’t available for, say, last 10 days or so in April.

I’d assume the people running the stadium and the hotel talk to one another…Particularly now that the AZ Coyotes no longer play NHL hockey in the arena next door.

AARP has sponsored concert tours by Tony Bennett and Alan Jackson, as well as a virtual concert series that has included the latter, Rod Stewart (a past performer at their national convention), Earth, Wind & Fire (same), Dolly Parton, Melissa Etheridge, Los Lobos, Gloria Gaynor, Doug E. Fresh, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. They seek lots of entertainment tie-ins, and an increasingly youthful brand image.

Sorry, I was sure Woz had indicated that Phoenix was before Jazzfest, but I guess this came from Topi.

AARP has also been a major sponsor with its own tent and presence at Jazzfest the last couple of years

FWIW the guy who posted the MetLife rumor+poster said:

"My buddy puts up posters in NYC he showed me one of the posters.."

". My friend works for an billboard agency. That's the posters they received from Ad agency"

There are two in LA at SoFi.

Ugh. Gut instinct is save myself the cash. Total garbage venue. Absolute worst place I have ever had the displeasure of seeing any band.

Agree... as tempting as two shows/one trip is to me, not sure I want to tackle that venue again. Getting out from the "floor" of that was a nightmare.

Agreed and it sounded awful. No thx.

Having the standard tongue is not a deal breaker for me.. No Filter did the same thing for the promo posters etc. instead of the No Filter tongue.

AARP being a sponsor, while a bit of a downer, also not a deal breaker, not much different than the Alliance group and as posted earlier they sponsor a lot of concerts apparently. Just hoping they have some cool free t-shirts before the shows like Alliance did cool smiley

Looking fairly legit imo.

The sound is so much better inside. Just listening on the street outside the Racket sounded better than Metlife 2019.

Louisville or Atlanta please! These make sense geographically. I'd love to have both to choose from, but I'll take either one!
