Loved him in "Catch 22," and later, in "Little Miss Sunshine" and then recently in the series "The Kominsky Method" with Michael Douglas.

Alan was a talented actor and director on top of being a very nice man.
A nice jewish boy from Brooklyn!
I used to work with him when he was a TV commercial director, and it was always a pleasure to work with him.
RIP Alan.
