I have a soft spot for this kind of rnb ish doo wopy ballads from this era. I get a very nostalgic, romantic feeling, picturing a prom or ball night in the early 60’s. It’s what I would like to be played at my wedding someday. I would like some recommendations <3.
Examples: The Harptones - Life is but a dream, The Platters - Twilight Time / Only You (And Only You) / Smoke gets in your eyes, Paul Anka - Put your head on my shoulder, The Shirelles - Will you love me tomorrow, The Chantels - Maybe, The Miracles - Since you won my heart, The Dells - Oh what a night, The Skyliners - Since I don’t have you

And I have to mention the movie homages made in this style Earth Angel from Back to the future and Those magic changes from Grease, probably how I discovered this kind of music.

Some other great choices could be:

I Only Have Eyes For You
The Great Pretender
In The Still Of The Night
Tears On My Pillow
Diana
Blue Moon

So many to choose from.....

I remember all these. Great songs. The ones I still play are:

Frankie Lymon - I Am Not a Juvenile Delinguent and Get a Job by the Silouettes.
