The 50th Anniversary Celebration of Brothers & Sisters - Trouble No More, Chuck Leavell & Brandon "Taz" Niederauer

The tribute act and their guest will perform The Allman Brothers Band’s 1973 LP "Brothers & Sisters" in its entirety in Boston and New York City.

Tribute act, Trouble No More will honor the 50th anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band’s acclaimed 1973 studio album Brothers & Sisters at a pair of shows this March. Special guest keyboardist Chuck Leavell will join Trouble No More as they perform the album in its entirety at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on March 24 and at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on March 25.

The Allman Brothers Band released Brothers & Sisters in August of 1973. Leavell was a member of the group at the time and contributed to the seven-track LP, which contains such classics as “Ramblin’ Man,” “Southbound” and “Jessica.” Over seven million copies were sold worldwide and “Ramblin’ Man” scored the ABB its first and only hit single, reaching the number two slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Trouble No More — consisting of guitarists Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and Daniel Donato, vocalist Lamar Williams Jr., bassist Dylan Niederauer, sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier and keyboardist Peter Levin along with drummer Nikki Glaspie — made their debut at The Beacon Theatre last March (drummer Jack Ryan was also a member at the time). The tribute act devoted its 2022 to honoring the 50th anniversary of the ABB’s Eat A Peach album.

“The piano playing on Brothers and Sisters is amazing. It could be my favorite of Chuck’s work,” noted Trouble No More musical director Peter Levin in a press release. “I am really looking forward to playing the record with him on stage. It will be incredible.”

Tickets for both concerts go up for grabs this Friday, January 27 at 12 p.m. ET. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Macon, Georgia’s Big House Foundation.

Really looking forward to this. Just to see Chuck perform Jessica is worth the price of admission. This really makes my day!

Lamar Williams, Jr. is a damn fine singer. Most of you probably know that his dad followed Berry Oakley as bassist for ABB.

Brothers and Sisters is a great album which I bought as a ten year old in '73, and Jessica is amongst my favorite tunes ever thanks to Chucks playing which is perhaps his very best.
But this type of tribute show seems a bit strange...dedicating an entire show to an album that's 50 years old ...and including the guy who played piano on the album...who wasn't even an original member of the band...

Seriously.
Fairly disrespectful considering how many days this thread has been up and no one else is calling out the OP for his error...should be a simple edit.

Here's hoping! Chuck's "Night of Georgia Music" performance last year in Macon with Mike Mills (R.E.M.) and Robert McDuffie was fantastic. He performed Jessica as an encore and brought the house down.

I highly recommend The Big House Museum to any Allman fans that find themselves in Middle Georgia.

Looks like Trouble No More will also perform the Album at Peach fest this summer.
Hopefully, Chuck will not be able to participate in this performance because he is neck deep in a Stones summer tour.

Yes, I was in Macon for that show and had seen it in Savannah pre-Covid. I live about 50 miles from Macon. In fact, I'm going to Macon to Mercer University today to hear an author speak on Duane Allman.

The Big House is highly recommended to all when you're passing through. Just open Thursday-Sunday though.

Chuck's instagram page just posted that the Night of Georgia Music special will be airing throughout the US on local PBS stations in 2023.
