How do I know really it's not some bootleg copy?
Anybody experienced in these matters?

The documentary film was broadcast for the first time by the ABC television channel and then distributed on DVD by the Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation
and this is a legal copy.

Compare the Amazon DVD to the pictures on [www.Discogs.com] , [www.eBay.com] .

by us encoded i assume he means its region locked to region 1 (us) which doesn't really mean anything except that it's made to work with region 1 dvd players

that could be a problem if your outside the us as it likely won't play in your machine unless you have a us dvd player or region free one

however if you watch dvd's thru a computer use vlc player it plays dvd's from any region

also you could look elsewhere

here's a sealed copy with pictures on ebay that in my opinion is overwhelming a official copy

I hope you have a multi-region dvd player. This dvd was never released in Europe, dvd region code 2, it was released in US and Canada, dvd region 1

There are hack codes that can unlock your DVD player if it is locked to a certain region. Pretty easy to do if you find the codes and it doesn't affect your player

Right, but for those who are not very familiar with technical things there are Blue Ray players on the market that read DVDs from all regions
