Germany is in great danger...it's been a very long time that they did not win any of their first two games in the world cup.

Now they must absolutely win the game against Costa Rica.
Wow, it's hot !

The German team showed that they can compete with Spain, very good for their self confidence. Costa Rica will not be the problem, but you never know.

Yes clearly outclassed by Croatia...
But we did score our 1st world cup goal ever ! Alfonso !
great experience for 2026 I believe we are automatically qualified as a host country.

Yes to all.

Given that Canada, USA and Mexico each already qualify as hosts for 2026, in what sort of "off-season" regimen is each required to participate? By the same token, did Qatar have to play in any kind of lead-up tournaments prior to the WC? I'm guessing all such prior matches are regarded as "friendlies"?....

Riots in Brussels after Belgium's loss.

Now - what if there were riots in Helsinki every time Finland loses a soccer match?

Meanwhile in Canada, seems we're going to have a national holiday because we finally scored a goal in a World Cup game!

Did you hear that ?

According to Sport catalan media, Antonio Rüdiger might have spoken to his Real Madrid partner Dani Carvajal, to ask him after the game :
"Now, defeat Japan !"

Dani Olmo confessed that his Leipzig partners asked him for the same thing.

Well it just goes to show that Germany have their fate in the hands of their ennemies. Huge danger !

Could be wishful thinking on behalf of the Dutch team then. Just in case we have to face Brazil.

Got the Portugal and Brazil victories right yesterday as well.

Today's parlay:

Ecuador drawing against Senegal

NED beats Qatar

ENG beats Wales

(No, I didn't forget Iran-USA, just didn't bet on it)

Going into the final round of the group stage, there's still 30 teams alive in the tournament. Only Qatar and Canada have been officially eliminated.

yes it's very tight in most groups to know who will be the next qualified teams.

The last game will be the death game for lots of them.

Spain the best team for me so far. Brazil have a great chance to win it too.

France should make the semis. Then it's a toss up between England (if they play Foden), and maybe one of Argentina, Portugal and Germany if they get through the group stage.

But really, Spain have a young team, are attacking-minded, keep possession and play a strong pressing game.

Re: OT: FIFA World Cup 2022

yes agree for Spain, they have no weak point, defense, middle and attack work fine for the moment.

Spain, Argentina, England, Portugal, Brazil, France...four of them are likely to reach the semis.
