I I like that many of these shows are getting released, but they could mix it up a little couldn’t they? I mean, RPM Club, Toad’s Place, Double Door, Mogador, Trabendo, Horseshoe Tavern etc. Why not release a box of those shows? Not full shows, but parts of them. The secret gigs were going on for many years. I bet they filmed all of them.
Right. All this seems to be low hanging fruit. I suppose El Mocambo will have to be the one rare release that's supposed to last us a while but really...not sure why they're being so stingy with the more interesting stuff.

True, but I mean shows from the >1995 period. I don't think that many fans are looking forward to 7 or 8 releases from the Bigger Bang or Licks tour...
Waddya on about mate?!?! As long as it's on DVD I'd love full tours released from the Vegas era... Visually (and musically) every Vault DVD is a gem. Mind you, I dont bother too much with the CD's though..

If the image quality would be better, I'd agree with you. But those low-res 4:3 footage on my 60" 4K OLED. It hurts my eyes. On the other hand, I'm willing to pay serious money for Voodoo Lounge or Bridges to Babylon shows I have attended. Just not for the other 40-50 ones

Is this another "archives" release?
Another I won't bother with.
For me, archives are concerts > 40 years ago.
So many great shows sitting on the shelf.

I still can't believe we don't have an official 1972 tour release.Quote

Yeah sorry I meant an audio release. There must be something collecting dust on a shelf somewhere.

The market for them will go up significantly when they're through. Would make more sense to release them then.

Why do you think that is? Older fans prefer 1990 and before. Do you think there's a whole younger audience that will only know the post-Wyman Stones?

I would say there's a whole younger audience that shares love to the post-Wyman Stones. Not everyone hates the so-called "Vegas era" like some people on this board. How many people have seen the 1972/73 shows and still have interest in the Stones? I bet there are way more people who have seen them for the first time on Voodoo/B2B/Licks/ABB or later and have their personal emotions with that tours.
I myself have seen the Stones for the first time on the Voodoo Lounge tour at the age of seven. For me Bill Wyman has always been part of the history for my whole life. That doesn't mean that I don't appreciate his work or have no knowledge about the albums and tours they did in the Wyman era. But the Darryl Jones era is now longer than the Bill Wyman era and I bet many people that show interest in the Stones nowadays have seen more shows in the Jones era than in the Wyman era and have interest in the "vault" releases from that era.
I myself have interest in vault releases from all decades. I would just prefer shows that haven't been released before because they don't come up with better sound with the new releaes, sometimes it is even worse. But I really appreciated for example the Salt Lake City 05 show, Bridges to Argentina, Wiltern (TV Broadcast) and the Stripped shows. But I really have love for El Mocambo, Leeds/Roundhouse 71, England 65, Wembley 82 and LA 75 too.
But I know lots of people that have more interest in the Darryl Jones era and that's fine for me :-)

sound is rather lousy on Blueray, can´t imagine that it´s any different (better) on CD
You're missing out dude. Even Bremen is a fun watch on a Sunday afternoon. Sure beats watching the newsQuote
