Is that sarcastic or do you really think they should be in?

Miles Davis?

In the rock n roll hall of fame??

WTF???

I mean, Miles is brilliant and his greatness isnt in question, but if youre inducting the immortals from other fields of entertainment into the R&RHOF then you may as well induct Laurel & Hardy, Muhammad Ali and Picasso while you're at it...

This really is getting silly.....

give it ten years and they'll be inducting people who write on message boards

In ten years time every musical act will be in the HOF and the whole thing will be irrelevant.

After Bitches Brew, Miles became a pretty big influence with the rock-fusion crowd. I know alot of folks who consider him a "rocker" during the 70s/80s. Personally, I'm a huge Miles fan, but he lost me after he abandoned bop.

Sabbath and Skynyrd are way overdue.

They need inductees, so they take what they get ... even if some bands aren't worth being inducted

Why shouldn't they be in? The Loving Spoonful is in. George Martin is in. Many artists are in more than once. Many one hit wonders are in.

Moody Blues have many hits and should be in there.

Of Miles, attitude wise, he's more rock n roll than almost anyone.

Keith might disagree with that statement.

Forget everything else...what's up with Blondie? Total pop crap that was wrapped as some punk/pop thing. This band was total trash & will only soil the HOF.

The Moody Blues suck!

well I did say 'almost'

I doubt he'd disagree to be honest...

Even if Blondie is way below the top level in rock music,
I cant see it as pop crap.
Pistols is not so little rock 'n' roll attitude imho.
Miles may have a fine attitude but I dont understand his music,
so help me Lord Almighty. Have tried several times.

The Moody Blues are one of the greatest acts in Rock history... incredible musicians and even more incredible songwriters, their music has stood the test of time that few bands have been able to do.

Plus they have at minimum three monster CD's: To Our Children's Children's Children, Question of Balance, and In Search of the Lost Chord... 3 Rock Album masterpieces with not one "out of place" or bad song on any of those albums.

....AND one of the very very few to SURVIVE and STILL BE TOURING after 30 plus years. They've even "outlived" the Grateful Dead at this point.

Would be incredible to see the Moodies and the Stones on the same bill.

Also, since you've obviously never attended a live Moody Blues concert, I'd highly recommend you see them the next chance you get.

I'm a major Miles Davis fan but can't for the life of me see why he OR Herb Alpert belong in a Rock and Roll hall of fame.

Well this just goes to show that there was no one good to induct this year. All of these bands have been up for induction for at least 2 or 3 years. There are really not that many good bands up for induction until 2008 when stevie ray vaughan and double trouble are up for it. And you all know they are going in on thier first year of being eligible for it. Seriously I think the only reason skynnyrd got in is because every one got sick of thier moaning about it. The whole we are one of the greatest bands of all time thing gets pretty old when you say it every interview you make. They were like the ugly drunk chick at a party that goes around hitting on everyone at a party until someone does her out of pity.
