some kind of marketing joke. 1. the Swiss fans have to return their tickets for Bern and have to buy new ones for Berlin. In other words: Tickets won't be directly exchanged, 2. if everybody with a ticket for Bern is to get one for Berlin, they have to move to another venue (Waldbühne is less than half of the size of Wankdorf stadium…

Or they just want to compensate for the financial loss of the cancellation.
Production wise Waldbühne is really convenient. Stage is all ready there, only the catwalk has to be build. Most of the tour crew/stage building crew will already be in the holidays. It's not so easy to just extend the tour with more stadium shows if not the whole crew is available.
Same situation in 2016 when they couldn't reschedule the canceled Vegas gig and played a private show for Robert Kraft instead.

Being the Stones and not the backstreet boys makes it harder to plan concerts, not easier.

Hahaha is a good point. But in a fair world if the Rolling Stones says "we want to play this day in this venue" that must happen. But it is not a fair world, I know. Well, just dreaming. Cheers!

It takes 10 hours to get from Bern to Berlin by car or train. It's not really nearby, so I don't see thousands doing that journey. Normally most fans attending a show live nearby, less than one hour driving.

yes, it's marketing. But do you really think, 40k will travel to Berlin for a show during the week? Probably 5k from Switzerland and that would be quit many.

Ticket prices for the Waldbühne are not announced at this time!

Thank god Berlin is so close to Bern.

My first thought falo01. Maybe they could have taken it even closer like Kiel.

I was in Munich this year and show was great.
This added show is tempting because it is geographically even closer than Munich for me.
But since the venue is small the prices will be high e.g. on eventim site is written from 200 eur up for previous show. I had 150 eur ticket for Munich, great sound and good view in silver pit.
So it is hard to decide for me.

Whatever the story is here, the venue is really great. If anyone has the chance I highly recommend going. I was there in 2014, a real tour highlight.

Great venue to end the tour! One of the best venues in Europe. I'm attending Nick Cave at Waldbühne in between the two Hyde Park shows. Seems like there's going to be a second trip to Berlin for me this summer.
