Strange .... I've always showed the security my small binocular in the last 20 years and had never an issue. Camera was at that time clearly an issue but not the binocular.
Usually somewhere on the concourse. Have a look around and if you can’t find it, then try for GA. A lot of places are quite happy to let people into GA.
The stewards don’t usually let people sit on stairs or block gangways. But empty seats definitely. Once you’re in the house, there are always opportunities for a self upgrade.

Do you think I can bring in a small binocular?
If its bag size is smaller than 21x15 cm (DIN A5) then it should be no problem. I'm using since almost 20 years a small 8x21 binocular (bag-size: 11x8 cm) at concerts and had never an issue at the security-check.

Always depends on the stadium and local security. Stuff is tight these days. In Munich there was barely one security person on the stand. People could basically stand or sit where they wanted on the tribune. Also no barriers.Quote

It was at gate 8. The security had a paper box there, many binoculars were there. Meanwhile, they let food in!
