Yes I tihnk they came in other sizes as well. I remember photos with huge flags outside a VW store. And there was a long list with items to buy - for public sale or just for VW stores - I don't know.

Correct, the car dealerships usually had the merchandise , but I was late to the game. I drove all over looking for VW dealers. Kept going back to Luxembourg a number of times and the lady finally gave me an umbrella for my troubles. I tried to get the big flag but they wouldn’t give it up. Those trips were an adventure, but usually I found stuff at record fairs and eBay.
