One interesting aspect I think is the fact that there are only 2 songs on B2B where Keith uses G-tuning (Low Down and Too Tight) whereas there are plenty on VL. He rediscovered standard, and it comes with amazing results, as usual.

As far as I know the only album post BEGGARS BANQUET to not have any opening tuning for the main guitar on any track is EMOTIONAL RESCUE - every song is in standard to my best recollection.
