The Rolling Stones are the latest addition to the performance lineup for the 2005 American Music Awards. The band will join the Los Angeles-based show via satellite from Salt Lake City's Delta Center to perform a song from its latest album, "A Bigger Bang" (Virgin).

The Stones join previously announced performers Mariah Carey (the event's top nominee with four nods), Kenny Chesney and Rob Thomas for the Nov. 22 awards. Cedric "The Entertainer" will host the 33rd annual show, which will air live on ABC from the Shrine Auditorium.

Billboard, October 19th

I'm guessing they won't be doin' Sway . . . but that's okay.
