They are old men, junkies and ex junkies

Get over your mismanged expectations, people! These guys are old, current and ex junkies, womanizers, and business-men.They have lived hard, fun lives. Let's be realistic about what we should expect from them in terms of a tour.

As to mechandising, ticket prices, etc..with the exception of Altamont, they have always been a money making machine! They have always charged a lot for thier tickets, etc..

They are old and we should be happy they are still alive, making good music, and touring. If find that many people on this board are not being realistic about the current state of the Stones. Rather than complain about them, don't go, don't buy, don't listen.

Like with sports teams, that is the only way to effect change.

They old but very vital!
Let's see if anyone of the younger artists survive this long
out there in the jungle and still be that vital in their music-
making!

Stop the naggin'

Been Stoned since 1964 and still am!

Go yawn yourself! My point is the same as yours. I am sick of the nagging, complaining etc..... If you don't like em, just don't go. My point is....what the hell do people expect from these guys? They are touring, which is great!
They have a great new disc out!

I don't understand it

Egomaniacs. Ah, screw em all. Hell, they were probably involved with that conspiracy to murder Brian, to get him out of the band. Devil worshipers, all of 'em. It's all about money. Money that pays for their world tour, staying at Four Seasons Hotels, enjoying top shelf wine (well, some of them) fabulous meals, and just getting their ass kissed everywhere. Then they go out and play "Vegas style." Damm those rock artists!

Can't wait to see them again!

Mick Taylor would have done a better job bitching and whining than we have in this post. I think he should replace us on this board for the rest of the tour. Quick, somebody find the bowling alley he's playing in tonight and get him in front of a computer!

You know it's trouble when the folks who bitch about someone for nagging can't tell that someone's actually nagging about the folks who are bitchin' about the band.
Either we've got to be clearer in our posts or we've got to stop the bitchin'

I call for a 30 day moratorium on bitchin about set lists, Ronnie's playing (or not playing), Keith's hair and fingers, and the poor choice of food at the arena shows. You can agree with this moratorium simply by refusing to respond to bitchin posts.

And that starts with this post for me. Er, starting . . . now.

So WHICH are YOU JJ FLASH, A Bitcher or a Whiner or BOTH? I prefer NOT to think of the Stones as OLD because it is irrelevant! Age is not a factor with this band which seems to defy TIME! I know, they are mortal and I do try not to dwell on that fact but the point is, age has no baring on them, in my eyes. Except for a few wrinkles, they sure sound like a bunch of young rockers, every bit as great as the Crowes, way better! The mistakes they mske, they work themselves out of and I really enjoy watching them work it out. I've seen ROCKS OFF start out horrible and end up roaring to a stop! I've seen RIP THIS JOINT disintegrate in the mid-section and end up just fine! AMAZING! Young bands would not know how to remain composed enough to play through a mistake. Just my opinion.

I often wonder why, if somebody didn't like the Stones anymore,
they wouldn't just move on somewhere else.............................!?

Thank you! I was at that show and the Stones rocked the place totally! It seems that the new sport on these pages is to find something to complain about? Why is that? I guess the people who say they're entitle to nag and whine about everything has not got anything better to do. But hey, it is possible to be positive instead of negative. It's also better for ya.

I think when true fans offer reasonable criticism it shouldn't be categorized as BITCHING and WHINING because lots of times our complaints are legitimate. Prices are TOO HIGH and set lists could be tweaked some( ok, alot) but the Stones still are the very best of the best and I've enjoyed the 6 shows I've seen on this tour tremendously. Acceptance is much easier than banging one's head against the wall, wailing about what should be. THE STONES ARE DOING AN INCREDIBLE JOB, putting on A+ shows every night, so be it, I'm grateful! AMEN!

Is there such a thing as an "ex-junkie".... isn't that like an "ex-alcoholic" ??

Ok Debra, but they put on he show every second night and have a weeks break after 12-15 concerts. So they do it in a pace they are able to handle that stress. At the end I think the ticket prices are so high, because they have to have pauses in between which you have to pay staff and trucks not on the road etc.

Yeah, but a lot of it just doesn't sound constructive
so I tend to doubt the intent......................
Nice thing about the message board tho is we can just skip it.
