Mick Jagger on Wayne's World

I've never seen this before, it's from his appearance in on SNL in 93 when he promoted Wandering Spirit. A while back this skit was discussed on here, but I couldn't find the thread when I searched for it. The way it ends is pretty funny:

Sir Michael: " I'm a disciple of von Hayek". I knew it! He always was a Tory. Glad that he came out with this.

I think we've all suspected that Mick is fairly conservative fiscally, but that entire exchange was scripted by SNL writers.

Garth also said he was a Keynesian after that line, which is quite the opposite of von Hayek's philosophy, so it was mostly gibberish.

I know Keefriff 99, it was a sketch of course. But oddly enough I think there is a grain of truth in it..

Ps. Ryanpow: It's Wayne's World. Nothing else. Ds.

If this is from the episode with luke perry as host, i am not sure this skit made it to broadcast?
I was a pretty avid watcher and recorder of SNL at the time, I do not recall this skit.
According to this NBC / SNL link, it wasnt named as a broadcast skit.
Of course it lists well known skit which Mick plays Keith

I can't watch anything NBC here in Sweden. Is the Sir Michael/Keith skit on Youtube?

Haha this is amazing. I've never seen this. "A god who walks as man." Mick Jagger is the @#$%& best. Can you imagine how Mike and Dana felt? Amazing. And Mick has always had a great sense of humor.

Thanks for your effort, Snorton. I don't know if the skit was good (Jagger is not the best impersonator), but it was hilarious all the same...

Wow. Great find.

This skit most certainly did not make it to broadcast, as someone already speculated.

I watched the episode live and I have a VHS recording of it, and this never aired.

No, he meant the skit in which Mick impersonates Keith.

Ohhhhh, gotcha.

I thought it was a pretty damn good impersonation honestly. Who better to impersonate Keith than Mick?

Never saw that. Great stuff. Thanks.

I have a weak spot for Wayne’s World.
Saw it in the cinema when I was 11 or 12.
The Alice Cooper bit still makes me laugh.

The one where Mick says his favorite Stones songs are "Let It Bleed" & "Have You Seen Your Mother..."? It aired in 1992/93. Original air date should be on Zentgraf's site.

Around the same time he performed Mother at Webater Hall.

Thanks for finding this. Roy Orbison was the musical guest. Did Jagger and Orbison sing together?
