Nothing is up with these guys!

What's up? Nothing!

Some judge a person from a picture, taken in a split second. I have hundreds of pictures to choose from. Some do never get published, even if they are sharp and technically fine, but because some might say "What's up with Charlie?" or "Does Keith look tired"?

The answer is no. Nothing is up. They just have different impressions.

I have added six "never for publication" pictures below. If you look at them isolated, it might look like something "is up", but then it is just an impression that is there for a second, next second it is all different.

You can't judge a person or a state by the look of a face in a split second!

Nothing is up with these guys!

Why worrie Charlie? And how about Ronnie?
Well five seconds later Charlie is all smiles!
Is Charlie about to make a run?
Did Ronnie just get a wasp in his mouth?
Or may be Ronnie got a worried face for a split second?
Mick got some weired impression!

Yup that's what I called "Armchair Kremlinologists" a few days ago.

Some people have nothing better to do than inspect a few bad vids or snapshot photos, "detect" something (that usually doesn't even exist) and make quick silly pointless conclusions about the state of the band or the physical well-being of some band members.
I'd like these people to jump off the IORR train. They're a nuisance.

Good point Bjornulf. When somebody is moving and you take a picture in the middle of that movement you can always get weird shots. To judge a health state of a person from such a picture is quite absurd

I can think of looking at old pics of the Stones and having the exact same thought.

Except I was looking at Bill.

Great pics Bjornulf - sometimes the most candid/less posed are the most entertaining.

Of course there isn't. They are just old. And I guess some have difficulties getting the equation old age and rock and roll together.
Which is understandable since rock music used to be associated with rebellion and youth. But youth fades away. Like everything else.

Of course.

As for me, any pic will do. It's jus part of the moment - no less, no more.

Can't believe people can forget that and take a split-second for granted or to say more than it actually does ...

Great pics! That's what makes snapshots so interesting: you get to see things that take place during a (split-)second only and that would be lost otherwise. thumbs up

How many times I'm not looking great myself on a photo, because I just was moving my head, or saying something at the wrong moment, or blink my eyes and that is when I know my picture is taken. Everyone knows this, because this happens all the time.
If someone is singing, dancing, playing the quitar, or drummming, the chance that you will get a perfect picture of that person is quite small. How many photo's do you think a professional photographer takes and how much is actually published?

Those shots are real fun for a change, BV!
It reminded me of all those countless moments seeing the most amazing expressions from close by. Also especially when they exchange expressions with eachother. That is one of the aspects of being at their concerts that makes the joy and fun even better.
You must have loads of them by now, maybe worth making "a kind of booklet" titled "did you see us?"
Enjoy!
