Well, 9 tracks from ABB reminds me of equal in number older songs. You know, a riff, the rhythm, the structure or just the “atmosphere” of a song are able to make you saying: “Oh, it reminds me of ...”
Of what? Here is my catalogue of the 9 ..."of".
Rough Justice - All Down The Line (Exile On Main Street) It Won’t Take Long - Dancing With Mr. D (Goats Head Soup) Rain Fall Down - Back To Zero (Dirty Work) Streets Of Love - Out Of Tears (Voodoo Lounge) She Saw Me Coming - Hey Nigrita (Black and Blue) Oh No, Not You Again - Lies (Some Girls) Dangerous Beauty - It Must Be Hell (Undercover) Laugh I Nearly Died - Heaven (Tattoo You) Driving Too Fast - Mean Disposition (Voodoo Lounge)
It Won't Take Long - Lowdown Rain Fall Down - Hide Away (on Goddess In The Dorrway) Laugh, I Nearly Died - Already Over Me Look What The Cat Dragged In (especially the guitar on the left side) - Undercover Infamy - Rockawhile (from Talk Is Cheap)
Inopeng, it was my second thought, too. Honestly! But i prefered to parallel "Laugh, I Nearly Died" with "Heaven" feeling an atmosphere 's similarity in the biginning of the two (great songs)...

I agree with Laugh and Heaven. But I can't see the slightest similarity for the others you gave. Totally different songs.
It won't take long and Low Down. Rain Fall Down and Hide Away. Laugh, I nearly Died and Heaven.

The discussion is about the songs on A Bigger Bang.
I knew there was a Mother Of A Man in there somewhere. All I didn't know is where.
I think Out Of Tears is better than Streets of Love, which unfortunately for a 1st single, mentions the word awful too often to digest the song easily. It hasn't grown much for me so far.
Look What the Cat Dragged In - Why do they use Beatles metaphors? Sgt. Peppers, Lost Weekend etc. For a change, next time please use NRBQ metaphors (remember that's Joey Spampinato's band, who was rumored as a replacement for Bill at the time but declined.) NRBQ writes such nice Stones hints like "I heard about a group with to much cash / they came out with something really rash / they had the money, they had the power, they built themselves a great big tower / you know they never got to heaven / you know something it went wrong / check it out, you can still hear them / hear them babble on / babble on / babylon" or "Get down / I don't mean get down like when Mick Jagger says get down / I mean get down before I knock you down"
I dislike Rain Fall Down, so if they release it as a single, they should have it remixed by a classy DJ first. It's the song I always skip on ABB.
Plus I'm beginning to dig Infamy. It's like Keith's Break the Spell.
This weeks scores: Mean Disposition VS Driving Too Fast 0:1 Rain Fall Down VS Hideaway Me 0:7 Laughinearlydied VS Already Over Me 1:3

I agree, they are the same song, and both versions suck.
